What is plasticizer?

Plasticizer, also known as plasticizer, is widely used in industry as polymer material additives, is a kind of industrial pollutants closely related to human daily life, widely used in people's lives, such as food packaging, tableware, children's toys, cosmetics, plastic wrap, garbage bags and so on. The addition of this substance in the processing of plastic products can make the product more flexible, easy to process, and can be legally applied to industrial production purposes.

The molecular structure of plasticizers is similar to that of hormones, so they are also known as "environmental hormones" and are recognized as toxic chemicals in many countries. The mechanism of its biological toxicity is that it has anti-androgen and estrogen activity, and then affects the reproductive function of the organism.

Do all plastic products contain plasticizers?

Not all plastic products contain plasticizers, common in life polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, polycarbonate, polyester, nylon, polyurethane, abs production process does not need to add plasticizers. For example, in our daily life, food wrap cannot enter the microwave oven, but PP(polypropylene) plastic lunch boxes can be used for microwave oven heating. Our commonly used water supply pipes are usually PPR pipes and PE pipes, which are made of polypropylene and polyethylene, and their production and manufacture do not involve plasticizers.

High-quality PPR water supply pipes do not contain plasticizers, but be wary of the harm of poor quality water pipes, some bad suppliers use waste plastic to produce water pipes, break low-cost recycled plastic and recreate particles, used to produce water pipes. There are many uncontrollable hazards hidden in these pipes. Therefore, choosing a water pipe with a reliable source of raw materials is responsible for the health of yourself and your family.
