The primary function of brass cap female is to create a seal between two pipes or tubes. This seal is necessary to prevent leaks and maintain the integrity of the system. international standard metric thread
Thread used in China national standard CNS. The top of the tooth is flat, easy to turn, and the bottom of the tooth is rounded to increase the strength of the thread. The thread Angle is 60 degrees, and the specification is expressed in M. Metric thread can be divided into coarse teeth and fine teeth two kinds. The notation is M8x1.25. (M: code, 8: nominal diameter, 1.25: pitch).
American national screw thread
The top and root of the thread are flat, and the strength is better. The thread Angle is also 60 degrees, and the specification is expressed in the number of teeth per inch. This thread can be divided into NC, NF, NEF. The notation is 1/2-10NC. (1/2: outer diameter; 10: number of teeth per inch; NC code name).
unified screw thread
It is jointly developed by the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada, and is the commonly used British thread. The thread Angle is 60 degrees and the specification is expressed as several teeth per inch. This thread can be divided into UNC, UNF, UNEF. The notation is 1/2-10UNC. (1/2: outer diameter; 10: number of teeth per inch; UNC code)
Sharp V Thread
The top and the root are pointed, the strength is weak, easy to damage and not often used. The thread Angle is 60 degrees.
Whitworth Thread
Thread used in British National standard. The thread Angle is 55 degrees and the symbol is "W". Suitable for rolling manufacturing. The notation is W1/2-10. (1/2: outer diameter; 10: number of teeth per inch; W code).
Knuckle Thread
Standard thread for DIN in Germany. Suitable for the connection of light bulbs and rubber tubes. The symbol is Rd.
Pipe Thread
A thread used to prevent leakage, often used in gas or liquid fittings. The thread Angle is 55 degrees, which can be divided into straight pipe thread code "P.S., N.P.S." and inclined pipe thread code "N.P.T.", and its taper is 1:16, that is, 3/4 inch per foot.
Square Thread
High transmission efficiency, second only to ball threads, and can not be adjusted with nuts after wear. Generally used for vise screw and crane thread.
Trapezoidal Thread
Also known as Acme thread. The transmission efficiency is slightly smaller than that of square thread, but it can be adjusted by nuts after wear. The thread Angle is 30 degrees for the metric system and 29 degrees for the imperial system. Generally used as a guide screw for lathes. The symbol is "Tr".
Buttress Thread
Also known as the rhomboid thread, it is only suitable for single direction rotation. Such as screw jacks, pressors, etc. The symbol is "Bu".
Ball thread
For the best transmission efficiency of the thread, its manufacturing is difficult, extremely high cost, mainly used in precision machinery. Such as the guide screw of CNC tool machine.
